This week at market we'll have several varieties of pears, including the ever-popular Bartlett and buttery sweet Grand Champion.  Our apple selection is increasing every week as the farm team works hard to get the apples picked, and includes Cox Orange, Burgundy, Russet, Gala, Ambrosia, Honeycrisp, Cortland, Gravenstein, Honeygold, Gingergold, McIntosh, Red Delicious-- There's a perfect apple for everyone!  Our market team will gladly help you pick the perfect apple for your needs.  We still have quite a full selection of delicious Valley veggies thanks to the mild weather this fall, and will have organic Honeycrisp apples as well as some organic veggies from TapRoot Farms. We were thrilled with the positive feedback as we moved inside last week at the QEII market, and look forward to your continued support so we can bring the best of the valley to you all winter long! The First Prospect Road Community Centre Market!

This morning, after we got the Seaport Market stall all set for the day, Anna and I departed to Pop Up at the Prospect Road Community Centre in Hatchet Lake.  There was a big crafter's market happening indoors, which meant there was a full parking lot and tons of folks checking out the event.  We set up in front of the centre and were absolutely OVERWHELMED with the positive support that the members in the community put forward.  Everyone was so excited to be able to buy the same delicious fruits and veggies that they know Noggins for in their neighbourhood, and there were lots of "Will you be back next week" requests and questions.  After a successful day chatting to so many people, we are happy to say that we will return next week and see if this can be a regular spot for our produce to pop up.

First week indoors was a success.  Most frequently asked question was, "How long will you be inside this year", and my answer: "As long as you keep supporting us!"  Customers are the critical piece that make it all possible!

QEII market runs from 10 - 2 every Friday in the VG Cafeteria (often we start earlier if we can be set up).  Hope to see you there!

New Wheels!

Andrew got a new market van!

Monday as I drove into Dartmouth, the new van rolled over 1,000 kms

I've never driven such a shiny new vehicle!  It is great-  Super zippy, easy to get around in, nice to drive, and it has bluetooth and navigation and a backup camera.  It escorted me to all of my markets this week, and worked great.  Makes things a little easier when you have the right vehicle, and for long days lugging to and from market, a little easier goes a long way!
